Facts and figures regarding Olympique Lyon, who host Real Madrid in their Champions League last-16 first-leg match on Tuesday:



* Lyon have won only five of their 11 matches in all competitions since the end of the Champions League group stage but a 4-1 victory at derby rivals St Etienne and Friday's 4-0 thrashing of AS Nancy show they are suddenly in form.
* They are still in the hunt for the French title, which they won seven times in a row between 2002 and 2008, but trail leaders Lille.
* Big close-season purchase Yoann Gourcuff has failed to shine since joining from Bordeaux but on paper Lyon still clearly boast the best team in France.

* They made no significant signings in January but let midfielder Jean Makoun join Aston Villa.
