Crawley get dream FA Cup draw

The last remaining non-league team in the FA Cup, Crawley Town, will face Manchester United in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

The Blue Square Premier team secured their place in the draw by beating Torquay United on Saturday.

"It was just a surreal moment," said manager Steve Evans. "We got the tie that everyone in the country wants. I suppose if you are Arsene Wenger or Alec McLeish you don't want that draw - but we did.

"We will approach the tie in a really positive nature.

"The only non-league club capable of beating Manchester United is Crawley Town as we stand today...miracles do happen."

League One side Leyton Orient, conquerors of Swansea City, also got a glamour tie, facing Arsenal at Brisbane Road.

"We're in danger of breaking even - I don't know what's happening these days with football!" joked chairman Barry Hearn.

"But the money is secondary. I've been chairman for nearly 16 years an we've never had anything like this. It's going to be a fabulous day out. I love the FA Cup."

Holders Chelsea face Reading, if they beat Everton in a replay, while Manchester City will play Aston Villa if they win their replay against Notts County.

Fulham or Tottenham Hotspur face Bolton Wanderers or Wigan Athletic, while West Ham United play Burnley. Stoke City face Brighton and Birmingham City play Sheffield Wednesday.
